All About the Fall Shed

You may have recently noticed that you are losing more eyelashes than usual. While this can be a bit disheartening, it is completely normal and nothing to panic about. Furthermore, it is only temporary--soon your lashes will be back to their normal, thicker selves. Why do lashes shed? The start of this change usually happens mid-summer. On average, the cycle of a single lash lasts between 60 and 90 days, with the active growth phase lasting 15-20 days, the transitional phase lasting 14-21 days, and the resting phase lasting 30-45 days.
